Francqui Fellowships
De BAEF-beurzen van de Francqui-Stichting
De Belgian American Educational Foundation, Inc., bekend als de BAEF, werd opgericht dankzij Emile Francqui en Herbert Hoover. De Francqui-Stichting werkt samen met de BAEF in haar programma van studiebeurzen voor jonge Belgen die hun opleiding aan een Amerikaanse universiteit willen voltooien. De Francqui-stichting kent hiervoor de nodige financiële steun toe om enkele geselecteerde Belgen – door BAEF geïdentificeerd als beloftevolle kandidaten – in staat te stellen een jaar voor studies of wetenschappelijk onderzoek te volgen in de Verenigde Staten.
Deze samenwerking benadrukt niet alleen de toewijding aan het bevorderen van onderwijskundige uitmuntendheid, maar illustreert ook het geloof in het investeren in de intellectuele toekomst van België, door zijn meest getalenteerde geesten in staat te stellen de wereldwijde arena te verkennen en te gedijen.
